Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) – A local farm program allowing people who live in more urban areas to enjoy fresh produce from regional farms. Members, or subscribers pay before the growing season begins for a share of the anticipated harvest. Once harvesting begins subscribers periodically (e.g. weekly or bi weekly) receive shares of produce. In addition to produce, some CSA services may include additional farm products like honey, eggs, dairy, fruit, flower, meat and finished products such as bread.
